It appears the NDA government at the Centre led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided to directly supervise the anti-Coronavirus operations in the states instead of leaving the entire burden only on states.

It is learnt to have assigned Union ministers to the various states and delegated responsibilities to them of coordinating with the respective state governments.

Accordingly, Union minister of state for home G Kishan Reddy and Union finance minister Nirmala Sitaraman will now oversee the Coronavirus relief operations in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states.

Kishan Reddy will directly interact with authorities of 33 districts in Telangana, while Nirmala Sitaraman will coordinate with the officials of 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh. They will give suggestions to the officials from time to time in tune with the directions being released by the Centre. Readmore!
