Keerthy Suresh’s Penguin was one of the first notable films to drop directly on digital platforms.
The film failed to impress the OTT audience, but Keerthy’s popularity across Southern states helped Penguin to record a sizable number of views.
The film would have done wonders if it lived up to the promise it had shown prior to release.
Despite Penguin’s disappointing show, Keerthy’s upcoming film Good Luck Sakhi fetched handsome deal from an OTT giant.
They believe that Keerthy’s factor will make it a profitable investment for them. Even Keerthy’s Miss India movie has been receiving attractive offers for direct to digital release.
Although Keerthy would have preferred to see these films released at the box office to know her crowd pulling capabilities, she didn’t object to any of the producers plans to go digital.
Luckily, she has super biggies in the pipeline both in Telugu and Tamil so as not to bother much about the outcome of these movies.
