KCR To Invoke PV To Attack Eatala?

Known for his shrewd politics to outwit his political rivals, Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is said to be planning to come out with a masterstroke to neutralise the impact of former minister Eatala Rajender in his home turf Huzurabad.

According to the party sources, KCR is contemplating creation of creating a new district in the name of former Prime Minister P V Narasimha Rao with Huzurabad as the district headquarters.

An announcement to this effect is likely to be made by the chief minister who is expected to visit Narasimha Rao’s native village Vangara, which is eight kilometres away from Huzurabad town, on June 28 for the centenary celebrations of the former Prime Minister to be held on a grand scale.

Huzurabad was originally part of Karimnagar district and during the reorganisation of districts four years ago, it was made part of Warangal (urban district). Readmore!

There has been a demand from the people of Huzurabad for quite some time that it should be made the district headquarters in the name of Narasimha Rao.

Sources said now, the government plans to withdraw district status to Warangal (urban) and shift parts of it to Huzurabad to make it a district, before renaming it as a P V Narasimha Rao district. Warangal (Rural) name would be withdrawn and there would now only be single Warangal district.

Some of the mandals which were delinked from Warangal and Karimnagar and merged with Siddipet district, would also be brought under Huzurabad.

“By creating a new PV Narasimha Rao district, KCR wants to attract the local people and also pay a tribute to the departed soul of the former Prime Minister,” party sources said.
