KCR owes Rs 1 crore to V6 Vivek!

Believe it or not, Bharat Rashtra Samithi president and Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has taken a loan of Rs 1 crore from former Peddapalli MP Gaddam Vivek and is yet to repay the same.

This was disclosed in the election affidavit filed by Vivek before the Election Commission of India on November 10 while submitting his nomination papers as the Congress candidate from Chennur assembly constituency in the upcoming assembly elections.

Vivek turned out to be the richest candidate to contest the assembly elections among all the candidates of all political parties with total assets worth Rs 606.20 crore – including movable properties worth Rs 380.7 crore and immovable properties worth Rs 225.50 crore.

He and his wife showed an income of Rs 15.8 crore in the last financial year, mostly from dividends, interest and salary.  Readmore!

Interestingly, while declaring his liabilities, Vivek mentioned that he had given a loan of Rs 1 crore to chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. When and why he had given the loan are not immediately known.

Another interesting feature is that Vivek had also given Rs 1.5 crore loan to another Congress party includes Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy from Munugode assembly constituency.

Ironically, Rajagopal Reddy is he second richest candidate with a net worth of Rs 458.2 crore.

One wonders why KCR, who has been the chief minister for the last two terms, has taken a loan of Rs 1 crore from Vivek.

There must be definitely some documentary evidence for the same, as without the evidence, Vivek would not have declared the same in the election affidavit, sources said.

Vivek made several somersaults from one party to another – he was originally in the Congress; from there, he defected to the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (earlier TRS), returned to the Congress within a few months and went back to the BRS a year later.

Subsequently, he quit the BRS again and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. He has risen to the position of the BJP national executive committee member and was made the chairman of BJP manifesto committee. But a few days ago, he joined the Congress and was given the party ticket from Chennur.
