BRS president and former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has been invited to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his third term at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on Sunday evening.
According to a news release from the BRS, Chandrashekar Rao received a phone call from senior BJP leader and former Union Minister Pralhad Joshi on Saturday, requesting his presence at the ceremony.
Modi is set to take the oath on Sunday for a third consecutive term as Prime Minister, leading the National Democratic Alliance government at the Centre.
It remains unclear whether Rao will attend the ceremony personally or delegate a party official to represent him.
Notably, Rao had declined to meet Prime Minister Modi for several years during his tenure in power.
