Tummala Nageshwar Rao, one of the four ministers in the previous TRS government, who lost recent Assembly election from Paleru, will not be included in the KCR's new cabinet as anticipated.
Tummala, a close aide of CM KCR, was inducted into the cabinet by KCR during his first term in 2015.
Tummala lost Assembly election from TDP in 2014 election. Later he left TDP in 2014 and moved into TRS after KCR became CM in 2014.
Though Tummala was not an MLA then, KCR nominated him as MLC and took him into his cabinet as roads and buildings minister.
KCR fielded Tummala from Paleru seat when bypoll came in May 2016 following the death of Congress sitting MLA Ramreddy Venkat Reddy, which he won with handsome majority.
However, Tummala lost the recent Assembly poll from Paleru seat.
Despite this, there was a buzz in TRS that KCR will again take him into his cabinet and nominate him as MLC again, considering his closeness with KCR.
But KCR made it clear that he will not take any defeated MLA candidate into his cabinet this time.
The reason cited by KCR for this is that if defeated MLA candidates are taken, then it will upset the winning MLA candidates and it is not good for the party in the long run.
With this the hopes of not only Tummala, but also other three ministers namely Jupally Krishna Rao, Patnam Mahender Reddy and Chandulal, who lost recent elections, were also dashed as there will be no scope for them to get into cabinet by nominating as MLCs.
