Kapus upset with Pawan's indecisiveness?

The indecisiveness attitude of power star and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan in his political activity is learnt to have terribly upset the Kapu community in Andhra Pradesh.

Despite being numerically strong, compared to Kammas and Reddys, in Andhra Pradesh, Kapus have not been able to become a consolidated vote bank due to lack of a strong leadership.

Though there was such an opportunity during 2009 elections when megastar Chiranjeevi floated Praja Rajyam Party, he could not succeed in converting it into a solid vote bank, due to inexperience and strategic mistakes.

At the same time, Kapus were relatively happy during the regime of Y S Rajasekhar Reddy then. And they voted for YSR, though only a section of the community opted for Praja Rajyam. Readmore!

After Pawan Kalyan floated Jana Sena Party, the Kapus got yet another chance to come together, but he, too, failed to live up to their expectations.

The Jana Sena did not contest 2014 elections and in 2019, Kapus did not believe him and voted for YSR Congress party.

Now, the Kapu community, which is upset with the Jagan Mohan Reddy government, has once again been looking up to Pawan Kalyan, who is the only option for them to get political power.

Yet, he is not able to give them any hope as he is tilting towards Telugu Desam Party.

Though the elections to the state assembly are around a year, the Jana Sena Party chief is yet to make an aggressive entry into political action.

His much-hyped yatra on “Vaarahi” is confined only to photo shoots and there has been no message from him when he would go into the people.

There has been no clarity as to whether there would be an alliance with the Telugu Desam Party or he would continue to sail with the BJP. No official message has come from Pawan Kalyan so far.

Under these circumstances, the Kapu community leaders are looking up to other parties – some towards the TDP (like Kanna Lakshminarayana, Vangaveet Radhakrishna etc) and others, like Thota Chandrasekhar towards Bharat Rashtra Samithi led by Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

So, once again the Kapus are going to be divided lot, thanks to the indecisiveness of Pawan Kalyan.

They are hopeful that he might step up his activity from March 14, when he addresses a huge rally at Machilipatnam on the occasion of Jana Sena foundation day.
