Javadekar is Telangana BJP poll in-charge

Contrary to the reports that the Bharatiya Janata Party high command is going softer towards Bharat Rashtra Samithi government in Telangana, the party national leadership is learnt to have decided to take the upcoming elections seriously.

A day before Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public rally at Warangal on Saturday after attending a couple of official programmes, the BJP national leadership appointed senior party leader and former Union minister Prakash Javadekar as the party’s election in-charge for Telangana.

Javadekar, who had come to Telangana several times and has a comprehensive understanding of the state politics, will play a crucial role in the selection of candidates for the party in the next elections, besides monitoring the entire election process.

BJP national president J P Nadda, who issued an order to this effect, also named party national general secretary Sunil Bansal as an assistant to Javadekar. Bansal also holds the post of in-charge of the State. Readmore!

This comes after the recent major reshuffle that the party conducted in Telangana along with three other States where new party presidents were named.

Sources said the Prime Minister who will have a meeting with the state BJP leaders before the public meeting at Warangal, will give them directions on how to go about with the elections.

According to newly appointed Telangana BJP chief and Union tourism minister G Kishan Reddy, Modi will go all out to expose KCR and his family in his public rally at Warangal on Saturday.

“He will attack the family rule and call KCR bluff on the development in the state,” he added.
