Jailer grosses ₹500 crore worldwide

Just 10 days after its release, Rajinikanth's action film "Jailer" has grossed a staggering ₹500 crore worldwide.

"Jailer" had a strong opening, amassing ₹48.35 crore nett in all languages on August 10. It has now garnered approximately ₹263.9 crore nett in India thus far.

Following a ₹10.05 crore nett earnings on Friday, the film witnessed a significant surge in box office numbers on Saturday, raking in ₹18 crore nett. During its opening week, the movie collected ₹235.85 crore nett in India in all languages.

The film's global gross collection is equally impressive. "Jailer," starring Rajinikanth, is the third Tamil movie to cross the ₹500 crore mark and the second-fastest to do so, trailing only behind Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar-starrer "2.0." Readmore!

Trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan announced the milestone on Twitter, sharing a poster of "Jailer" featuring Rajinikanth.

He wrote, "BREAKING: Jailer hits ₹500 crore. Jailer BREACHES ₹500 crore elite club at the worldwide box office in just 10 days. Becomes the THIRD movie from Tamil cinema to enter this club after 2.0 and Ponniyin Selvan: I. Also, the SECOND fastest movie after 2.0, which entered ( ₹500 crore club) in seven days."

Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, "Jailer" also stars Vinayakan, Ramya Krishnan, Vasanth Ravi, and Tamannaah Bhatia in pivotal roles.

Additionally, Shiva Rajkumar, Mohanlal, and Jackie Shroff make appearances in the film. Produced by Sun Pictures, the movie features music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
