Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy would host lunch in honour of Chief Justice of India, Justice N V Ramana, at Mangalagiri on Saturday.
Justice Ramana will be in the state attending three programmes. The first was to inaugurate the city courts complex in Vijayawada.
This would be followed by receiving honorary doctorate at the Acharya Nagarjuna University at its convocation.
After attending these two programmes, Justice Ramana would attend the lunch to be hosted by the state government.
This would be the second occasion where Jagan Mohan Reddy would be meeting Justice Ramana.
Earlier, the chief minister hosted high tea in honour of Justice Ramana in 2021 December, when the latter visited the state for the first time after assuming the office.
The state government had invited all the cabinet ministers, judges of the high court, besides some VIPs for the farewell lunch.
While it is for sure that Justice Ramana is expected to speak at the two functions to be held, it is not known whether justice Ramana would speak at the lunch or not.
In the recent past, Justice Ramana had said that there is so much for him to speak and would speak at his farewell function.
A month ago, Justice Ramana revealed his political affiliation at a meeting of the Bar Association in Jharkhand, where he passed some hard hitting remarks against the media.
