YSR Congress party president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy had a last laugh in the battle with rebel party MP from Narasapuram K Raghu Ramakrishna Raju over the latter entering Bhimavaram to attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi event on Monday.
Despite Raju being a local MP, the Jagan government ensured that his name is no where in the list of invitees as per the protocol.
"Raju's name doesn't figure in any of the protocol list, whether it was in the list of delegates on the dais, leaders receiving PM at the airport and even those in the audiences. We don't understand how he wants to come here," Eluru range deputy inspector general of police Pala Raju told reporters.
After failing get police permission to fly to Bhimavaram in a private helicopter, Raju started off in Narsapur Express train on Sunday night, but he realized that a shadow team of CID police was following him. So he got off the train midway in Hyderabad itself.
Later, he made an attempt to travel by road, but came to know that his name was not there among the list of invitees.
At the same time, YSRC leadership readied its cadres all along the route to ensure that if Raju travels on the route, they would stall him.
As a result, the rebel MP had to stay back in Hyderabad. He said he would write to Modi to complain that his name was deliberately deleted from the list of invitees.
He said as per the protocol, he should have been allowed for PM's meeting, but the Jagan government acted with vengeance.
So, the event went on without Raju, as desired by Jagan!
