Jagan Receives Survey Reports of 175 Constituencies

Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy will be reviewing the performances of YSR Congress MLAs in the Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Prabhutvam mass contact program on June 21. This review will serve as a 'litmus test' for MLAs seeking party tickets for the upcoming polls.

The CM has been conducting regular performance reviews of YSRC legislators every three months. As a result, around 30-40 MLAs have been identified as poor performers and may face consequences for their performance.

CM Jagan has made it clear that only the "winning horses" will be given party tickets for the next elections. He emphasizes the importance of good performance and aims to ensure that everyone who contests on the YSR Congress ticket emerges victorious.

Furthermore, the chief minister will provide instructions to party members regarding the Jagananna Suraksha mass outreach program, which will commence on June 23. Readmore!

It is worth noting that CM Jagan has dispelled speculations of early elections by affirming that Andhra Pradesh will follow the normal election schedule. He has urged ministers, MLAs, and MPs to utilize the next 10 months to improve their performance.

Jagan Reddy has appointed four leaders as constituency in-charges to replace the four suspended MLAs who switched their loyalties to the Telugu Desam.

During a party workshop in late March, CM Jagan revealed the names of MLAs who have shown improvement in their performance, as well as those who are considered poor performers. The poor performers, numbering around 30-40, were given the directive to work hard and improve before the next meeting scheduled for June 21.

The CM has recently received comprehensive survey reports on the 175 constituencies, providing valuable insights into the ground situation.

Since the launch of the Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Prabhutvam mass contact program on May 11 last year, CM Jagan has urged ministers and MLAs to spend at least 16 to 21 days each month engaging with the public. The program aims to bring representatives closer to the people and address their concerns.

While approximately 80% of the legislators have shown improvement in their performance, there has been no noticeable change in the remaining 20%, according to party sources.
