Jagan ready to release full list for 175 seats?

Stage is set for the release of the list of the ruling YSR Congress party candidates contesting all the 175 assembly seats in the upcoming assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh, if the reports coming from the power corridors of Tadepalli are to be believed.

Party president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is likely to release the list of candidates on Tuesday, as he spent the whole day on Monday discussing with the prospective candidates, rejected candidates and other aspirants, in order to give final touches to the candidates’ list.

Jagan has already released two lists of 38 candidates, including a few Lok Sabha members, after dropping as many as 13 MLAs and a couple of MPs, besides undertaking reshuffling of the constituencies of some MLAs and accommodating kin of a few sitting MLAs.

On Monday, Jagan held hectic parleys with the party leaders, after summoning several MLAs, including those form Nandikotkuru, Markapuram, Vizianagaram and Dhone constituencies. Apart from the sitting MLAs, the party chief discussed the possible change of candidates with district party presidents and ministers. Readmore!

Similarly, disgruntled MLAs have also been holding discussions with top leaders of the party including Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, besides CMO official Dhanunjay Reddy.

Among those who held discussions with the party were Chintalapudi MLA Eliza, Chittoor MLA Arani Srinivasulu and Bapatla MP Nandigam Suresh.

Former minister and MLC Dokka Manikay Varaprasad, who was stripped of the party in-charge post in Tadikonda, also came to Tadepalli to meet Jagan. But he did not get the audience. He has been sulking for quite some time and expressing resentment over the party.

“Only if it is very necessary, the disgruntled MLAs are getting the audience from Jagan. Otherwise, it was Sajjala and Dhanunjay Reddy who are settling the issue of sulking leaders after discussing with them the survey reports,” sources said.
