Jagan Keen On Defeating Lokesh!

YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy might be supremely confident about his party coming to power in the April 11 assembly elections and him becoming the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh.

But, he is said to be very keen on ensuring that Telugu Desam Party general secretary and IT minister Nara Lokesh does not win the elections from Mangalagiri assembly constituency in Guntur district.

His party kept a special focus on this constituency and roped in several bigwigs to campaign for its candidate Alla Ramakrishna Reddy and against Lokesh.

Starting from Y S Sharmila, several leaders and stars like Manchu Mohan Babu and Nandamuri Lakshmi Parvathi addressed election rallies in Mangalagiri and appealed to the people to defeat Lokesh. Readmore!

And Jagan himself chose the last day of campaign on Tuesday to address an election rally in Mangalagiri town, which was a roaring success.

Since Ramakrishna Reddy could not do much for the constituency as he was in the opposition in the last five years, Jagan told the people that if YSRC comes to power in the state, he would make the local MLA as a minister in the cabinet.

This is definitely a big attraction for voters. Since the chances of Jagan coming to power are bright, they would get benefitted if Ramakrishna Reddy becomes the minister.

Secondly, during his stint, the MLA fought tooth and nail for protecting the lands of farmers in Vundavalli and Penumaka villages and hence, if he becomes the minister, he would ensure that the lands would not be acquired for the capital.

If the people of Mangalagiri keep faith in Jagan’s promises, it will be trouble for Lokesh!
