TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu is making desperate attempts to build an alliance with the BJP ahead of the 2024 general election.
His men in the BJP, including Y S Chowdary and C M Ramesh, have been strongly lobbying for Naidu with the BJP leadership in favor of Chandrababu Naidu.
Even BJP national secretary Y Sathya Kumar is also strongly lobbying for Chandrababu Naidu.
However, the BJP top leadership is not in favor of restoring the alliance with the TDP anymore.
Even Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan is also attempting to restore the alliance between the BJP and the TDP.
As all these efforts have failed to change the BJP top leadership, the TDP chief is said to have found a new route to reach out to Modi and Shah.
He found a Delhi-based political strategist, Abhista, to communicate with the BJP leadership.
Abhista is engaged in conducting political surveys in various states and is said to be close to Union Minister for Labour, Environment, and Forests, Bhupendra Yadav.
Chandrababu Naidu is trying to communicate through this strategist to have an alliance with the BJP.
The strategist reportedly informed BJP, that he had conducted a survey in Andhra Pradesh recently, and the results were positive only if the BJP tied up with the TDP.
Abhista worked with TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh before the 2014 general election. When the party formed the government, Abhista was taken into the Chief Minister’s Office but was attached to Lokesh.
After Lokesh became a minister, Abhista was made OSD for Lokesh, assisting the minister in both government and party affairs.
However, in December 2015, Abhista left his jobs in AP and went to Delhi to work with Bhupendra Yadav.
With past relations with Abhista, the TDP chief is now trying to reach out to the BJP top leadership.
It remains to be seen how effective this strategy will be for Chandrababu Naidu in restoring relations between the BJP and the TDP.
