Internal politics in Jagan's strategy team?

A latest video clip showing political strategist Prashant Kishor making some comments, supposedly directed at the Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy government, has triggered a debate in the political and media circles.

In the video, Prashant Kishor, while speaking at an event, suggested that the Andhra Pradesh government lacks focus on development and wealth creation, resorting instead to excessive borrowing.

“You can distribute wealth only if you create some. So the state should create an environment so that society creates more wealth. And the state should proactively work to distribute wealth. If you are not helping society to create wealth, where are you going to distribute from? Then you will be borrowing endlessly. Then probably is the case in some states,” Prashant Kishor said.

It is not immediately known in what context the political strategist said, but only a small portion of his talk has come out on the social media. Readmore!

He might have made the comments in a broader context, but it was projected in such a way that he was pulling up the Jagan Mohan Reddy government.

Highly placed sources said the video clip has come out of the internal politics within Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC) founded by Prashant Kishor, who still has good connections with Jagan Mohan Reddy, who was his one of the biggest clients in the last six years.

Though Prashant Kishor has been keeping away from the day-to-day functioning of the team, which is now presently headed by his protégé Rishi Raj Singh, Prashant Kishor still has stakes in the company.

Sources said now, there is an attempt from local I-PAC team to permanently get rid of Prashant Kishor’s involvement in Andhra affairs. The only way to do is to create a wedge between him and Jagan. The latest video clip is said to be part of this strategy, sources said.
