The makers of Samantha starrer 'U-Turn' had announced 13 September as its release date long back. 13 is the date that generally chosen for supernatural thrillers.
'U-Turn' has supernatural element in its story. Moreover, Tamil Film Chamber has given go-ahead for its release on that day. In Tamilnadu, films have to get the permission to release their movies on specified dates.
For all these reasons, Samantha is not postponing her movie despite the fact that her husband's big-budgeted movie 'Shailaja Reddy Alludu' is releasing on the same day.
Naga Chaitanya and Maruthi's 'Shailaja Reddy Alludu' has already been locked September 13 as its new release date.
So now, both these wife and husband couple have to compete with another Telugu film on that day. That is Sudheer Babu's romantic drama 'Nannu Dochukunduvate' which is also releasing on September 13. Sudheer Babu has turned producer with this film.
