Former deputy chief minister Pamula Pushpa Srivani is having tough time ahead of the 2024 elections.
All her family members seem to have turned against her. A good number of her in-laws are now in the opposition TDP.
Her sister-in-law Pallavi Raj had joined the TDP recently and is all set to contest against her from Kurupam Assembly constituency in Parvatipuram Manyam district.
Her uncle is a farmer minister and is an MLC in the TDP and is giving tough time for Pushpa Srivani in the constituency.
She had won from this constituency twice in 2014 and 2019 and served as the deputy chief minister for three years.
She is now the president of the YSR Congress party in the district and is holding incharge of the four Assembly constituencies in the district.
Known for her soft-spoken attitude, she doesn’t go aggressively against her rivals, which is seen as a minus point for her in politics.
On the other hand, her own in-laws in the opposition are making serious allegations against her.
They are alleging that Pushpa Srivani had amassed wealth during her stint as deputy chief minister.
They said that she is now owns properties worth Rs 5 crore and threatened to give the details to the media.
The have asked her to declare her assets failing which they would release the details.
It is now to be seen whether Pushpa Sreevani would declare her asserts and face her family members in the rival party or remain silent.
