Harish Rao planning coup against KCR, ala Naidu?

Is senior Telangana Rashtra Samithi leader and state finance minister T Harish Rao planning a coup against his uncle and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, following the path of Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu?

Speculations are doing rounds to this effect in the political circles in the state.

According to these speculations, if the TRS falls short of majority with a considerable number in the next assembly elections or gets a meagre majority, there are chances of Harish staging a coup against the party leadership.

“He is likely to split the TRS along with a good number of MLAs and join the Bharatiya Janata Party, if the latter offers him the chief minister’s post after the next elections,” source said. Readmore!

There are speculations that Harish Rao has been in regular touch with Eenadu group chairman Ch Ramoji Rao, who had brokered a deal to this effect with Union home minister Amit Shah during the recent meeting at Ramoji Film City.

Apparently, Harish Rao’s outburst against Andhra Pradesh government led by Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is part of this strategy designed by Ramoji Rao.

He has been making adverse comments against the government on electricity reforms, alleged harassment of teachers and other issues only to get the media limelight, sources said.

“He is attacking the Jagan government only to see happiness in the eyes of Ramoji Rao, who has promised to make him the next chief minister with the support of the BJP,” sources added.
