Former Andhra AG making big money in Telangana?

Advocates from Telangana have been protesting against the alleged transfer of Telangana judges to other states and import of judges from Andhra Pradesh to Telangana, hurting the sentiments of Telangana fraternity.

A letter purported to have been written by Telangana advocates joint action committee to President of India on April 13 has revealed that the advocates are not happy with the transfer of a woman judge from Andhra Pradesh to Telangana a few months ago.

Along with the letter, they attached a newspaper clipping which revealed that former advocate general of Andhra Pradesh Dammalapati Srinivas has been frequently coming to Hyderabad to take up high profile cases, apparently with the support of the woman judge.

The news report said Dammalapati is the most sought-after advocate by high profile persons involved in several cheating and fraud cases. Readmore!

For instance, Dammalapati was engaged by Sridhar Rao of Sandhya Convention Centre against whom there were complaints of not just cheating and intimidating but also sodomy have been registered.

Apparently, Dammalapati also helped Sridhar Rao get an order from the high court directing the police to not take any coercive action against him.

A few days ago, the former AG obtained a similar order from the court in favour of Coastal Projects Surendra who is facing charges of defrauding banks of thousands of crores of rupees.

The news report pointed out that Dammalapati also ensured that Jubilee Hills Cooperative House Building Society secretary Murali Mukund who is facing charges of illegally selling society plots retained his post though majority committee members ousted him from the post.
