Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy seems to have started building his teams for the 2024 showdown.
Having won the 2019 general elections with a thumping majority by winning 151 seats in the 175-member Assembly, Jagan is leaving no stone unturned to increase the number further.
He had been spending the last three years by staying back in the camp office and transferring direct cash benefit to the people through various schemes.
While Covid 19 had come as a curse to many, people in AP did not feel the pinch as the chief minister was giving them cash benefit all through the two years of the toughest season.
He is now making his moves to gear up the rank and file of the party and the entire bureaucracy to face the 2024 elections and retain the power with better majority.
He had started reshuffling the IAS and the IPS officers to build his team in administration. He shifted the DGP and now brought a new face, K S Jawahar Reddy, into the Chief Minister’s Office.
Several key posts were given to the trusted and able officers to take forward the governance to the people and thus help the party by increasing their satisfaction levels.
Once the reshuffle of the babus is done, Jagan Mohan Reddy plans to do a similar exercise in the cabinet as well as the party.
He needs strong and able candidates in the cabinet which goes for the 2024 elections. Similarly, he also wants strong hands in the party to repeat the stupendous victory.
There are more surprises in store from the files of Jagan Mohan Reddy as he prepares the administration, the cabinet and the party to retain the power in the 2024 general elections.
