Ex-Union minister predicts new CM for AP by Jan

Veteran Congress leader and former Union minister Chinta Mohan, who once played a major role in the Andhra Pradesh politics, has been in the news of late by making one controversial statement or the other.

On Saturday, Chinta Mohan predicted that Andhra Pradesh would have new chief minister by next Bhogi festival, which falls on January 13, as the present chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy would lose his post by then.

He, however, did not say how the change in the CM post will happen, but he had said in the past that Jagan would lose the CBI case being tried in the court and he would have to go to jail.

The Congress leader said Jagan was aware of the fact that he would have to step down soon and that was the reason why he was not coming out of his camp office. Readmore!

“The situation in the state is very bad, as the YSRC leaders are looting the state. Even the subsidised rice meant for the poor is being diverted,” he alleged.

He also found fault with the Jagan government for deciding to sell cinema tickets online.

“How can the government take over the private business of selling cinema tickets?” he asked.

Even a month ago, Chinta Mohan made a similar comment stating that there would be change of leadership in the state in a few months.

He said the downfall of Jagan had begun and the latter had been trying to wriggle out of the case by taking the help of the son of an industrialist-turned-Union minister.

It appears the former Union minister made the prediction keeping in view the CBI court’s judgement on Jagan’s bail cancellation petition to be delivered on September 15.
