It appears Telangana Rashtra Samithi leader and sacked health minister Eatala Rajender is creating rumblings in the Bharatiya Janata Party, even before he formally joined the party after quitting the TRS.
Former minister and BJP leader from Huzurabad Enugala Peddi Reddy has already expressed his reservations over the entry of Rajender into the BJP. He even warned of an earthquake in the party if Rajender is admitted.
But the biggest trouble in the BJP began in Peddapalli assembly constituency, where Rajender has considerable hold.
Several BJP leaders in the constituency are terribly upset with former MP G Vivek, who played a major role in bringing Rajender into the party.
Several rebel BJP leaders from Peddpalli on Thursday held a meeting at Mancherial to decide their future course of action.
The rebels, including former minister Boda Janardhan, former MLAs Gujjula Ramakrishna Reddy and Somarapu Satyanaryana, have been expressing their unhappiness over the style of functioning of Vivek.
In fact, Somarapu even resigned from the post of BJP Peddapalli district unit president in protest against Vivek’s hegemony in Peddapalli. In all, leaders from seven assembly constituencies attended the Thursday’s meeting.
It remains to be seen how the BJP leadership tackles this rebellion being triggered by Rajender’s entry.
