Dokka shifted from Tadikonda, to contest Guntur LS seat?

Former minister and senior YSR Congress party MLC Dokka Manikya Varaprasad, whose appointment as party additional coordinator of Tadikonda assembly constituency in Guntur district in August this year, triggered uproar in the party, has been shifted.

Though the exact reason for Dokka’s shifting from Tadikonda has not been mentioned, it is learnt the decision was taken in view of his appointment as the president of YSRCP in Guntur district.

Apparently, Dokka is not happy with the way local MLA Vundavalli Sridevi is running a group against him in Tadikonda, which is ultimately affecting the party. She fears that Dokka might replace her as the party candidate from Tadikonda in the next elections.

It is learnt Dokka is now evincing interest in contesting as the party candidate for Lok Sabha seat from Guntur and not as an MLA from Tadikonda. Because of this reason, Jagan is learnt to have decided to withdraw Dokka from Tadikonda. Readmore!

Interestingly, Dokka’s withdrawal from Tadikonda has not given any relief to Sridevi. In his place, Jagan has appointed Kathera Suresh Kumar as additional coordinator for the constituency.

Suresh Kumar is the husband of present Guntur zilla parishad chairperson Christina, who had earlier been the coordinator of the YSRC for Tadikonda.

So, instead of Dokka, it will be Suresh Kumar, who is going to be a fresh headache for Sridevi, as he is expected to get the party ticket in the next elections.

As reported earlier, party president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has been getting a lot of negative feedback against Sridevi and her frequent clashes with Bapatla MP Nandigam Suresh over sharing of booty in sand mining in Krishna river.

Added to that, she has earned a very bad name among the farmers of Amaravati due to her loud-mouth attitude. After obtaining intelligence reports that she might lose the next elections, Jagan decided to appoint additional coordinator for Tadikonda.
