In 2019, he was given the MP ticket from Nagarkurnool parliamentary constituency by the BRS leadership and he won the seat. However, he has been feeling neglected in the party due to the dominance of local MLA Guvvala Balaraju.

Sources said sensing Ramulu’s disgruntlement, the Sunil Kanugolu team contacted him and is trying to rope him into the Congress party.

He is said to be asking for the MLA ticket from Achampet. If this works out, he may soon call it quits to the BRS and take a plunge into the Congress.
