Dil Raju steps in, vows to settle issue

As the issue pertaining to filing of criminal case against Tollywood superstar Allu Arjun has become the hot topic in the political, media and film circles, ace producer and Telangana Film Development Corporation (TGFDC) chairman Dil Raju stepped in to resolve the crisis.

Even as the Hyderabad police were questioning Allu Arjun in the Sandhya Theatre stamped episode, Dil Raju called on Sri Tej, who was severely injured in the incident and is currently receiving treatment at KIMS Hospital.

“It is deeply saddening that such incidents occur. We shall put an end to this issue soon. We shall extend support to the family of Revathi, who lost her life in the tragic stampede at Sandhya Theatre,” he said.

Stating that it was an unfortunate incident, Dil Raju said he couldn’t come earlier as he was in America. “As soon as I returned from America, I met the chief minister A Revanth Reddy. I will meet Allu Arjun soon,” he said. Readmore!

The TGFDC chairman said he was closely observing the current developments, and together with other members of the Tollywood, they would put a full stop to this issue soon. “I will meet prominent government officials along with members of the film industry and try to find a solution,” he said.

He said very soon, representatives from the film industry would meet the chief minister. “I shall take responsibility for ensuring that such issues do not arise again. I will act as a bridge between the film industry and the government and ensure that we stand by the affected families in every possible way,” he said.

He said the government was ready to provide employment to Revathi's husband, Bhaskar. “Sritej's health is improving, and he is receiving the best medical care,” he said.

On the allegations that the Revanth government was targeting the Telugu film industry, Dil Raju said it was just a propaganda.

“The notion that the government is distancing itself from the film industry is a false propaganda. The chief minister has assured full support to the industry. We have sought an appointment with the chief minister and we shall meet him soon," he said.
