Did KCR committed 'Naidu's blunder' in cabinet expansion?

There is a popular saying in politics which says 'In politics there are no murders, only suicides'.

The cabinet expansion made by KCR on Tuesday has once again brought this saying to the focus.

There is also a general feeling that CMs commit grave blunders in their second term, which eventually lead to their downfall.

This has proved right in the case of N Chandrababu Naidu, when he was the CM of Undivided AP. Readmore!

Though Naidu came to power through 'backdoor entry' by backstabbing NTR in his first term in 1995, Naidu came to power on his own in 1999 by winning Assembly polls with a good majority. This made Naidu arrogant.

KCR, who was very close to Naidu at that time, was expecting a good ministry for him. But Naidu denied cabinet berth for him and instead opted for veteran TDP leader Karanam Ramchander Rao in KCR's own district Medak. Ironically, Karanam died soon after due to ill health.

Naidu forced KCR to accept Deputy Speaker post in 1999, which is known to be insignificant.

Though KCR accepted the post against his wishes, this led to widening of gap between Naidu and KCR, which subsequently led to KCR quitting TDP in 2000 to launch his own party TRS in 2001 and the rest is history.

Such a 'heavy price' Naidu paid just for dropping KCR from his cabinet, which led to bifurcation of AP and Naidu was thrown even out of Hyderabad by KCR.

Now, KCR dropping Harish Rao from his cabinet in his second term, who had a huge following in TRS and general public in Telangana, is also viewed as the same blunder that Naidu committed.

Political circles are abuzz that KCR too will have to pay a heavy price for this unnecessary 'grave blunder' at a time when Harish is expressing his complete loyalty to KCR and his family since its inception.

KCR humiliating Harish for the sake of KTR is something which is not being digested by Harish sympathisers and supporters within TRS and other parties and predicting that Harish will revolt against injustice one day or the other.
