Koratala Siva’s action drama Devara, starring Jr NTR, Saif Ali Khan, and Janhvi Kapoor, hit theaters last Friday amid high anticipation.
Upon release, the film received mixed reviews. However, according to the latest update from Sacnilk.com, Devara saw a boost in its box office numbers on Wednesday, thanks to the Gandhi Jayanti holiday.
The film reportedly earned â¹20.17 crore on its sixth day, according to early estimates.
The report indicates that Devara has finally crossed the â¹200 crore (nett) mark on its sixth day of release.
The film had a massive opening, earning â¹82.5 crore (nett) in India on day one, followed by â¹38.2 crore on day two. On the third day, it continued its strong performance with â¹39.9 crore, and on day five, it added â¹14 crore to its total. With Wednesday’s earnings, Devara has now collected â¹207.52 crore so far.
On Wednesday, Devara Part 1 recorded 49.71% occupancy in the Telugu market. In addition, the occupancy rates were 24.49% in Hindi, 31.94% in Kannada, and 25.37% in Tamil.
In Devara Part 1, Jr NTR takes on dual roles as Devara and Varadha, also known as Deva and Vara. Saif Ali Khan portrays Bhaira, a kushti expert, while Janhvi Kapoor plays Thangam.
The film tells the story of Devara, played by Jr NTR, who refuses to let the men of Yerra Samudram continue their involvement in illegal activities. It also follows how his son, Vara, steps up to carry on the family legacy.
