Released on January 12 for Sankranthi, Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu has turned into a box-office force. Backed by strong audience support, the film has shown rock-solid momentum from day one, with no significant drop even on weekdays.
The film has already grossed around â¹200 crore worldwide, underlining its sensational theatrical run.
In India alone, the film has crossed the â¹139 crore mark, and trade circles are confident it will comfortably enter the â¹150 crore club by the end of its first week. The sustained collections clearly reflect strong audience interest and repeat viewing.
Within six days, Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu has earned â¹139.85 crore, a figure that includes â¹9.35 crore from paid premieres on January 11.
As per Sacnilk, the film collected â¹18.50 crore on Day 6 alone. Occupancy levels remained impressive, with the Telugu version recording an overall 61.07% occupancy on Saturday—40.17% in morning shows, 62.38% in afternoon shows, 72.15% in evening shows, and 69.58% in night shows.
In comparison, The Raja Saab, starring Prabhas, released on January 9, has collected about â¹136.75 crore in nine days. Despite a massive budget of nearly â¹400 crore and high expectations, the film has failed to live up to its hype at the box office.
Directed by Anil Ravipudi, Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu is being hailed as a massive box-office comeback for Chiranjeevi, especially after the underwhelming performance of Bholaa Shankar.
With its current pace, the film is now inching toward becoming the Megastar’s highest grosser ever and is expected to challenge the long-standing record of Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, which earned â¹245 crore worldwide.
