Daggubati on his way out from YSRC?

It looks like the days of former minister Daggubati Venkateshwar Rao in the ruling YSR Congress party in Andhra Pradesh are numbered.

According to sources, YSRC president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is learnt to have sent a message to Daggubati to decide whether he would like to continue in the party or leave it.

He reportedly sent a message to Daggubati through his advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy to that effect.

Apparently, Jagan is peeved at the way Daggubati’s wife and former Union minister Purandeshwari has been attacking the state government in general and him in particular over various policy decisions. Readmore!

At the same time, Jagan is also angry with Daggubati for not taking active part in the party activities and rebut the criticism being made by the opposition parties, particularly the BJP.

This has landed minister Balineni Srinivas Reddy in an embarrassing position, as it was he who had brought Daggubati and his son Hitesh Ram into the party.

However, Daggubati is said to be upset as he believes that some YSRC leaders themselves were responsible for his defeat in Parchur in the recent assembly elections.

Particularly, Daggubati is said to be feeling suffocated with the entry of his rival Ravi Ramanatham Babu into the YSRC recently.

He is suspecting that Ramanatham was brought back into the party only to checkmate him.

As a final attempt, Daggubati and his son are learnt to have sought an appointment with Jagan to clarify things in his constituency, but so far he has not got any response from Jagan.

“Daggubati wants to wait for a few days more and if there is no appointment with Jagan even then, he will call it quits to the party,” sources said.
