Even as the ruling YSR Congress party in Andhra Pradesh is maintaining utmost restraint over the brazen attack by the Telangana ministers on Andhra chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and his father late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy over the injustice meted out to Telangana, the yet to be floated YSR Telangana party led by Jagan’s sister Y S Sharmila have started reacting strongly.
On Saturday, YSRTP leader Indira Shobhan came down heavily on the Telangana ministers for making derogatory comments against late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy.
She described the Telangana ministers as “slaves of chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.”
She reminded that these so-called leaders who are foul-mouthing YSR should remember their status during the YSR regime.
Tourism minister V Srinivas Goud has forgotten that he was reinstated in the job after he was sacked on corruption charges following Anti-Corruption Bureau raids, she said.
“This minister now calls YSR a demon. How did he make crores of rupees by being just an employees’ union leader? Where has transport minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar come from? Who granted him a medical college?” Indira asked.
The YSRTP leader said the so-called irrigation project – Kaleshwaram – was originally the brainchild of YSR.
“It was YSR who had conceived the Pranahita-Chevella project on Godavari river. The Telangana government changed its design and renamed it as Kaleshwaram. It is now claiming that KCR has conceived it,” Indira Shobhan said.
