CID continues to hound Ayyanna family!

It looks like the Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy government in Andhra Pradesh doesn’t want to leave the family of former minister and Telugu Desam Party leader Chintakayala Ayyanna Patrudu.

The revenue authorities have dragged Ayyanna for encroaching upon a piece of government land for the compound wall of his house and the Crime Investigation Department have filed a case of forgery in this regard.

At the same time, the CID police have been targeting Ayyanna’s son and TDP general secretary Chintakayala Vijay for posting derogatory messages on the social media targeting the chief minister’s wife Bharathi Reddy.

Even as Vijay got partial relief from the state high court and obtaining injunction on his arrest, the CID police did not let him go scot free. Readmore!

On Friday, they served a notice under Section 41-A of Criminal Procedure Code to Vijay, asking him to appear before them for questioning.

The CID police went to Vijay’s residence at Narsipatnam and enquired with his mother Padmavathi, who happens to be a municipal councillor. Since Vijay was not there, the cops gave her the notice.

The police had booked a case against Vijay on October 1 under five different sections at Mangalagiri cybercrime station. The police asked Vijay to appear before the CID office at Mangalagiri on January 27.

Interestingly, on the same day TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh is launching his padayatra from Kuppam and Vijay, who happens to be a close associate of Lokesh, is planning to go to Kuppam for the programme.

Lokesh has already requested all the party leaders and in-charges of various constituencies to come to Kuppam to kickstart the padayatra.

Now that the CID served notices on Vijay to appear before them on January 27, it will be interesting to see whether he would be attending the padayatra or not.
