'Make Hay While the Sun Shines' (MHWSS) is the age old adage which is being followed by three big stars in the industry now.
Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan and Prabhas are in signing spree and in the process of lining up films for years down the line.
All that they need is a reasonable commercial story and a passionate director backed up by a producer. If these things fall in place, then they sign on the dotted line provided the remuneration is fixed as per their terms.
Chiranjeevi will be 67 years of age by the coming August. But still his market is so strong that he is in a position to command a cool Rs 50 Cr as his remuneration part. So, he wants to lift the advantage of it to the maximum by signing up for a good number of films.
Chiranjeevi was so aggressive in lifting up the opportunities in the initial days of his career. There were times when 14 films of his were released in a year. But eventually as he became the Mega Star, he restricted his appearances to one film in a year or twice a year. For a period of almost 9 years between 2008 and 2017, he didn't do any films due to his political moves.
But now, keeping his age in point of view, he is doing as many commercial films as possible in the next few years. Right now he is busy with Acharya, Godfather, Bholaa Shankar and Bobby's untitled film. Three more films are also in line which are yet to be announced officially.
Next in the list is Pawan Kalyan who is also commanding Rs 50 Cr per film. He is now engaged to Bheemla Nayak and Hari Hara Veera Mallu. Two more films are in line for him which are yet to be announced.
Prabhas is also in the similar mode. He is now a pan India star who is comfortably being offered a Rs 100-Rs 150 Cr remuneration for every film. So, to make hay while Sun shines, he has signed up on several films in the last few weeks.
He has Radhe Shyam, Salaar, Adi purush, Projeck K, Spirit, a film on Mythri Banner, another film on Dil Raju's banner and one in Maruthi's direction.
Prabhas is already 42 and he is in the process of aging fast. So, before his prime time starts declining he wants to make a few thousands of crores, maybe. His speed in signing the projects gives such an impression.
On a whole, this is really a wise decision by the top stars and ultimately it ends up in giving extra entertainment for all their fans.
