Tharun Bhascker has teamed up with debut director Kasyap Sreenivas for the out-and-out entertainer Gaayapadda Simham, which already stirred curiosity with its title poster.
Meanwhile, the makers have unveiled the film’s traiser, offering a first glimpse into its premise.
The story revolves around a young man who has dreamt of going to the USA all his life.
When he finally lands there, his excitement is abruptly disrupted by President Donald Trump’s announcement of the largest deportation drive in American history. The film then tracks how he navigates the ensuing chaos.
Kasyap Sreenivas handles this topical subject with humor and satire, bringing a distinctly Indian take on the American dream.
Tharun Bhascker stands out with his impeccable comic timing. Faria Abdullah’s role is uniquely crafted, while the KGF–style setup and Pelli Choopulu satire add to the fun.
Maanasa Choudhary plays Tharun’s romantic interest, with Vishnu Oi as his friend and Subhalekha Sudhakar in a key role.
Backed by strong technical work- Vidya Sagar Chinta’s visuals and Sweekar Agasthi’s music, the film produced by Saptaswa Media Works, POV Stories, Zee Studios, and presented by Pavan Sadineni looks promising.
Slated for a summer 2026 release, Gaayapadda Simham raises expectations with a trailer that hints at a witty and contemporary ride.
