Chintamaneni's Victim Gets Honorary Post!

Remember D Vanajakshi, a woman Tehsildar of Musunur block of West Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh?

Well, she was one of the many victims of former Telugu Desam Party MLA from Denduluru Chintamaneni Prabhakar’s alleged atrocities in the district.

She was in the news in 2015 when she was allegedly assaulted by Prabhakar and his men when she was obstructing illegal sand mining in the district.

Though Chintamaneni was under attack from the opposition parties for his alleged highhanded behaviour, TDP president and then chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu ensured that issue subsided after he had talks with both the MLA and Vanajakshi. Readmore!

After four long years, Vanajakshi is back in the news after more than four years.

She has now been elected as honourary president of Andhra Pradesh Tehsildars’ Association at a general body meeting of the association held at Chinna Kakani in Guntur district.

While Vanajakshi described it as a great honour for her, the TDP leaders took to social media to target her.

They said she got the post only because of her clash with Chintamaneni, who is presently cooling his heels in the jail in an SC/ST atrocities case.

It is unfortunate that the TDP leaders sought to smear political colour even to an honorary post. Vanajakshi did not get any out of turn promotion.

She was given just an honorary post in her association. It is not an official post or an elevation in her job?

In what way it is to do with the government?
