Vennela Kishore is a very prominent comedian in the Telugu cinema industry. He played the main lead in "Chaari 111". Despite the fact that he has not promoted the film, it has piqued people's interest.

Let's see if Vennela Kishore can bring fun in this main starring role.

Story:
In 2005, Chief Minister Raja Reddy (Subhalekha Sudhakar) decided to form an elite agency to protect our country from dangers. He appoints former Major General Prasad Rao (Murali Sharma) to lead the new elite unit and conduct clandestine operations. Readmore!

In the present day, Prasad Rao assigns the task of following a suspected businessman, Srinivas (Brahmaji), to agent Chari 111 (Vennela Kishore). They believe this businessman has links to suicide bomb attacks.

Will Chari 111, who causes more chaos than accomplishing missions, be able to solve the case and save the country?

Artistes’ Performances:
Vennela Kishore's hilarious comedy has dominated many films, thus playing a lead hero and performing the same comedic sequences is not a difficult task. In the first hour, he tries to make people laugh with his dialogues and mannerisms, but he, too, becomes bogged down by a lack of solid writing.

Samyukta Vishwanathan has done an okay job with her action scenes. Taagubothu Ramesh and Satya also attempt to bring some comedy.

Murali Sharma as the boss of the agency is good. Rahul Ravindran and Subhalekha Sudhakar have played the roles of Chief Ministers. Brahmaji, as a businessman, plays his usual self.

Technical Excellence:
The camera work is decent. Simon K King's background score is in tune with the subject. The production design is appropriate. The editing and writing are the most disadvantages.

Highlights:
Couple of laughs
Vennela Kishore

Drawback:
Weak writing
Nonsensical situations
Dragged on narration

Analysis
"Chari 111" is a spy comedy film. Spy thrillers typically adhere to similar plots. An agent is assigned to complete the job, and then he meets a beautiful girl and gets to use some strange weapons and play with various technical gadgets.

The number of Bond films and spy thrillers are huge. Therefore, certain Hollywood filmmakers produced comedy films mimicking spy flicks by casting a comedian as the lead spy character.

The popularity of parody films increased with the success of the "Johnny English" franchise.

Vennela Kishore's "Chari 111" is the Telugu version of "Johnny English." It attempts to imitate these franchise films. However, the film demonstrates that TG Keerthy Kumar, writer and director, lacks the comedic writing abilities required for creating this type of parody. He has written the screenplay and dialogues in a conventional style.

Vennela Kishore seemed to improvise his dialogues rather than sticking to the prescribed script. This is the reason why even when the situations that have to be farcical yet funny become only farcical, not funny.

Initially, the situational silly comedy works but as the film progresses, it becomes tiresome.

We don’t expect logic in such parody films but even the nonsensical situations can be handled in a better way than this. The director has missed the chance to present a really funny parody movie.

The last hour tests patience with a dragged on feel. The flashback episode doesn’t work at all.

Overall, "Chaari 111" squandered an excellent opportunity to present a spoof about spy films. While Vennela Kishore is sincere in his efforts, his writing and narration fall short.

Bottom line: Silly
