Swetha Reddy, a London-based NRI who has been foul-mouthing the ruling YSR Congress party and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and his family members on social media, is not a Chowdary, as is being suspected by the YSRC leaders.
According to a Cyber Bully Sheet registered by the Andhra Pradesh police against Swetha Reddy, she is actually a Padmashali (weavers’ community) hailing from Tirupati town.
Last week, YSRC leader and Andhra Pradesh Women’s Commission Chairperson Vasireddy Padma described her Swetha Chowdary, who has been making abusive comments against the YSRC leaders and their family members, especially women through social media platforms.
Even YSRC general secretary V Vijay Sai Reddy tweeted against Swetha Chowdary, who was posting dirty comments at the behest of TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu.
But going by the CB sheet registered against her, Swetha alias Swathi Reddy is the daughter of Kota Vishwanath from Siva Jyothy Nagar Tirupati. She has been aggressive on social media, indulging in abusing women or provoking people on religious, political, caste and other grounds.
The CB sheet has revealed several interesting information about this woman. Swetha went to the United Kingdom on January 13, 2020 on student visa and has been residing there since then.
Her father Vishwanath was discarded by his family and at present, he is living with one Vijayamma at Madanapalli. Six Years ago, he worked as a driver to present YSRCP MLA Nawaz Basha, Madanapalli. At present, he is sick and owing to ill-health, he is unable to move anywhere. He applied for a house through the government housing scheme.
Interestingly, Swetha’s mother Kota Lalitha has been drawing widow pension of Rs 2,500 per month, though her husband is still alive. Swetha’s brother Kota Sai Leela Vara Prasad also has been staying in the UK since October 5, 2021.
The CB has further revealed that there are two criminal cases filed against Swetha at central crime police station Mangalagiri under various sections like 153-A 505(2), 120-B of Indian Penal Code.
