Cash crisis: KCR safe compared to Naidu

The demonetisation move of the Narendra Modi government has created more troubles to Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu than his Telangana counterpart K Chandrasekhar Rao.

In fact, people in Hyderabad and several parts of Telangana are facing immense problems due to the scrapping of 500 and 1000 rupee notes. More debates are being held in Hyderabad over the impact of demonetisation than anywhere else.

Yet, people are not making a single critical remark against KCR or his TRS government but attacking only Narendra Modi. This is notwithstanding KCR’s attempt to get closer to Modi and not saying even a single critical remark against the Centre. He is happily placed and has even performed gruha pravesham of new his bungalow.

On the other hand, Naidu is facing the criticism from his own people for the currency crisis for the simple reason that his party is part of the NDA and hence, he is also a part of the decision. Moreover, Naidu himself has claimed that he had advised Modi to scrap 500 and 1000 rupee notes. This has made Naidu more vulnerable to the attack.

In fact, if one were to give the devil its due, Naidu has been taking a lot of steps to overcome troubles on account of cash crisis, but it is not being acknowledged by the people. Now, even if Naidu is criticising Modi’s decision, nobody is believing him. That is the tragedy!
