Lead actors for the Telugu remake of Ayyappanum Koshiyum are yet to be finalized.
Sithara Entertainments bought the Telugu remake rights for Rs 1 Cr and they have been making attempts to sign up Balakrishna for the police character played by Biju Menon in the original.
However, Balakrishna has reportedly shown no interest in doing this remake due to the lack of commercial elements and he also felt the characterization is a bit raw for the liking of our audience.
The makers are now considering either Venkatesh-Rana combo or Raviteja-Rana combo for Telugu version.
Director for this much-talked-about remake is yet to be finalized. Harish Shankar name has come up in discussions as the Gabbar Singh director is known for handling remakes well.
His next is with Pawan Kalyan, but it will take some time to set rolling. They are considering a couple of other options too.
