BRS will be a threat to Jagan, says 30-years industry

Soon after the announcement made by Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao renaming his Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) as Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), there was a discussion on whether he would contest the elections in Andhra Pradesh.

Analysts were raking their brains as to which party will face the heat if KCR wants to enter the fray in Andhra Pradesh – whether it is Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena or Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s Telugu Desam Party.

Since YSR Congress party president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy maintains friendly relations with KCR, the BRS may not target him. On the other hand, KCR may target the TDP and split the anti-establishment vote, say analysts.

However, maverick actor-turned-politician Balireddy Prudhvi Raj, known in film circles as 30-years-industry, has a different view point. He says YSRC would have to bear the maximum brunt, if the BRS floated by KCR enters Andhra politics. Readmore!

“The people of Andhra are frustrated and fed up with the rule of Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, while they are envious of the development in Telangana under KCR’s leadership. So, if KCR comes to Andhra, they would prefer to vote for him, which will affect the YSRC,” he said.

Prudhvi Raj, who parted ways from YSRC after enjoying a good position for some time, has been attacking Jagan whenever there is an opportunity. He also found fault with the Jagan government on the three capitals issue.

“The three capitals issue in AP would not be solved in the near future since the issue was pending with the court,” Prudhvi Raj said, while speaking to reporters after darshan at the Rajarajeshwara Swamy temple in Vemulawada.

Talking about Jana Sena, he said the party had lost the elections in 43 constituencies by a whisker, and that both the Jana Sena and TDP parties were strengthened.

Stating that development in the State had stalled, he said goondaism was growing in the state. He alleged that Jagan was threatening ministers and MLAs to create publicity about development that did not happen.
