Brother denies, but sister gives for Andhra Jyothy!

For the last two years, the YSR Congress party government in Andhra Pradesh led by chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has been denying advertisements to Andhra Jyothy Telugu daily promoted by Vemuri Radhakrishna.

Though its other publications including Eenadu and Sakshi have been getting advertisements worth crores of rupees, the Jagan government has not been giving any advertisements to Andhra Jyothy, thoug circulation-wise, it stands third among the dailies.

The reason is simple: Andhra Jyothy has been pro-Telugu Desam and anti-YSRC and has been dishing out stories against the Jagan government every day.

And Jagan has been quite open about his stand against Andhra Jyothy and Radha Krishna. Readmore!

But surprisingly, on Thursday, Andhra Jyothy got a full page jacket advertisement in its Telangana edition – from Jagan’s sister Y S Sharmila on the launch of her new political party – YSR Telangana Party in the evening.

The advertisement has pictures of YSR and his widow Y S Vijayalakshmi, but not Jagan.

Interestingly, the advertisement was not seen in Eenadu, despite it being the No. 1 daily in Telangana and Sakshi, which is promoted by her own brother Jagan Mohan Reddy.

This is despite the fact that both the dailies carried a curtain-raiser stories on the launch of Sharmila’s new party.

So, Sharmila doesn’t mind being friendly with Andhra Jyothy, which is being seen as an enemy by her brother in Andhra Pradesh!
