Box Office: Magic Missed In February

In February 2022, DJ Tillu shook the box office, and in February 2021, the movie "Uppena" became a blockbuster. Similarly, in February 2020, the movie "Bheeshma," starring Nitin as the hero, became a super hit. For the past three years, a hit movie has been released every February. However, this year, that magic was not repeated.

Around 22 movies were released in February this year, but as mentioned earlier, none of them hit the blockbuster range. However, the month was not a complete flop as there were small sparks of success.

In the first week of February, the film "Writer Padmabhushan" shone. The movie, starring Suhas as the hero, received good reviews, but it did not shake the box office. In fact, among the movies released that week, it was not the one that came with high expectations.

There were huge expectations for the movies "Buttabomma," a remake of the Malayalam movie, and "Michael," starring Sandeep Kishan, which were released the same week. However, both "Buttabomma" and "Michael" failed to meet expectations, and both received flop talk on the first day itself. Readmore!

The box office received another shock in the second week with the release of "Amigos," which had a lot of expectations but did not please the audience. This was Kalyan Ram's first triple role movie, and as it came after a blockbuster like "Bimbisara," everyone's eyes were on this movie. However, it could not meet expectations. Movies like "Veda," "Pop Corn," "Vasantha Kokila," and "Allanta Doorana," which were released that week, were also flops.

In the third week, a movie called "Sir" came with huge expectations. Dhanush's first Telugu film as a hero met expectations, although it initially received mixed reviews. The film quickly recovered, and in nine days, it became a worldwide hit with a gross of 75 crore rupees.

No noteworthy movies were released in the last week, and even movies like "Konaseema Thugs," "Dead Line," and "Mr. King" could not stand out. Overall, in the month of February, "Writer Padmabhushan" and "Sir" movies did well, but movies like "Michael," "Buttabomma," and "Amigos" that came with high expectations fell flat.
