BJP serious over TRS burning Modi effigies

The Bharatiya Janata Party central leadership is learnt to have taken serious view of the “Chavu Dappu” (beating of drums during funeral) against the Central government and burning of effigies of PM Narendra Modi by the TRS leaders and workers on paddy procurement issue.

The BJP central leadership summoned the state BJP leaders led by party president Bandi Sanjay, along with other MPs and MLAs to New Delhi to get the first hand information about what the TRS government’s strategy was.

The state BJP leaders would have a meeting with Union minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on Tuesday evening to work out a counter-strategy.

Apparently, Shah told them that burning of Modi’s effigies is a serious issue and the BJP has to shoot back at the TRS strongly. Readmore!

Already, Amit Shah got a comprehensive information about the K Chandrasekhar Rao government and its loopholes. He would give a direction to the state BJP leaders on how to counter attack the TRS in the coming days.

Within an hour of the TRS delegation meeting Union civil supplies minister Piyush Goel in Delhi on paddy procurement issue, he, along with Kishan Reddy held a press conference and lashed out at the TRS for misleading the people on the issue.

“It is the TRS government which has failed to supply the milled paddy to the Food Corporation of India as per the targets. We made it very clear that the Centre is ready to purchase enough quantities of raw rice apart from enhanced quota of boiled rice during the Kharif. The state itself is not in a position to supply the same,” Piyush goel said.

The BJP leadership has also asked the state BJP leaders to raise issues like unemployment, suicides of students, housing schemes, land sales etc.

“Since the assembly elections are less than two years away, the BJP will go all out against the TRS by launching a series of agitations on various issues,” the party sources said.
