It looks like former CM N Chandrababu Naidu will have to be prepared to face heavy trolling in the next three days without even getting an opportunity to retort.
For, these three days mark the completion of 25 years of great betrayal in the TDP under his leadership against his own father-in-law and former chief minister N T Rama Rao and people, particularly senior journalists, have been recalling the days of Naidu backstabbing the legendary actor-politician.
Though the present generation does not know much about the episode, political leaders have been recalling the three turbulent days in the TDP by trolling Naidu in the social media.
YSR Congress party general secretary and parliamentary party leader V Vijay Sai Reddy has already tweeted saying: “A walkdown the memory lane on 23rd August, 1995 (actually, if was 25 August 1995), reveals the sorry state of affairs of TDP founder late Sri NTR garu. Great betrayal by @ncbn, the anguish of NTR and the level of manipulation could be understood by the letter NTR has written to the then assembly speaker.”
Sai Reddy attached the copy of the letter written by NTR to the then Assembly Speaker Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, expelling Chandrababu Naidu and his gang of four – P Ashok Gajapathi Raju, Kotagiri Vidyadhar Rao, T Devender Goud and A Madhava Reddy from the primary membership of the TDP and also from the TDP legislature party.
On Tuesday, Bharatiya Janata Party in-charge of Andhra Pradesh Sunil Deodhar, too, trolled Naidu in the social media, attaching the same letter.
“Hope @ncbn recollects this day 25 yrs back when great leader & @JaiTDP founder N T Rama Rao Ji had expelled him from party for backstabbing. He later slandered BJP & Modi Ji too,” Deodhar said.
He further said: “Now out of power, he’ll soon be out of political arena. After all, Karma catches up with betrayers.”
Watch out for more such brickbats on Naidu in the next two days, especially on August 27, when the infamous Hotel Viceroy episode happened.
People would definitely recall how Naidu had made his cronies throw chappals at the great NTR!
