A long-awaited moment has brought happiness to Kinjarapu Atchennaidu's brother, Prabhakar.
Kinjarapu Prabhakar is now among the 34 Deputy Superintendents of Police in Andhra Pradesh who have been promoted to Additional Superintendents of Police.
Prabhakar is currently serving as a DSP in the Visakhapatnam Commissionerate. His name has been on the promotion list for some time, and he has been eagerly awaiting his promotion to the next rank before his retirement.
In a timely decision, Home Secretary Kumar Vishwajit issued orders promoting all 34 officers, including Prabhakar, who has been assigned the role of Special Branch Additional SP in the Visakhapatnam Commissionerate.
The highlight is that this promotion comes just before Prabhakar's retirement, which is scheduled for tomorrow evening.
He is being promoted to Additional SP today and will retire from service tomorrow evening.
Instead of retiring as a DSP, he will now retire as an Additional SP. His file was expedited to ensure he did not miss the promotion.
It is often easier for such things to happen when one has a powerful brother in the government.
