A local court in Hyderabad granted conditional bail to Andhra Pradesh chief minister's sister and YSR Telangana Party president, YS Sharmila in a case of assault on a police official.
Sharmila was arrested on Monday after she assaulted a police official at Jubilee Hills when she was prevented from going for a protest.
She was produced before the court and sent in judicial remand on Monday night. Subsequently, Sharmila was shifted to Chanchalguda women's prison in Hyderabad.
On Monday night a bail petition was moved by Sharmila's advocate and on Tuesday morning, police filed a counter.
