AP Govt To Prosecute Pawan For His Comments

The Andhra Pradesh government had issued a Government Order (GO) to prosecute Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan for his remarks against the volunteers.

During his public meeting in Eluru on July 9, Pawan Kalyan alleged that the information collected by the volunteers was leading to women trafficking in the state.

He claimed that the volunteers were gathering information about single women and young girls in the villages, and this data was being used by certain elements to target them.

Pawan Kalyan further cited information from the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), stating that 29,000 women were reported missing in the state. Out of these cases, 14,000 women were traced by the police, while the remaining 16,000 remained untraced. He attributed these missing cases to the data collected by the volunteers. Readmore!

Furthermore, the government labeled Pawan Kalyan's remarks as defamatory, derogatory, and venomous towards the volunteers and the state government.

Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan stated that he is prepared to face the defamatory case and asserted that he would stand by his statement.

He accused the government of misusing the services of volunteers and paying them less than the NREGS (National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme) wages.

Pawan Kalyan also mentioned that he intends to file cases against the government on several issues, including corruption and criminal activities.
