Triptii Dimri has been on a remarkable journey ever since gaining popularity with her supporting role in Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal.
Her character, humorously dubbed "Bhabhi No. 2," became a favorite in meme culture. Recently, she has also been receiving praise for her performance in Bad Newz.
Triptii is making headlines again with the re-release of her debut film as a lead, Laila Majnu, in theaters. Prior to Laila Majnu, Triptii appeared in supporting roles in Mom and Poster Boys.
However, her cinematic journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. She shot to fame as an OTT star with Netflix’s fantasy film Bulbbul.
Following the success of Bulbbul, Triptii further established her talent with Netflix’s Qala. Over the years, her career trajectory has been impressive, not only in terms of recognition but also financially.
Reportedly, Triptii was paid â¹1 crore for her role in Dharma Productions’ upcoming comedy film, where she stars alongside Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk.
This is a significant increase from the fee she earned for her debut film, Laila Majnu, representing a remarkable 300% jump since 2018.
For her debut in Laila Majnu, the Animal actress was paid just â¹25 lakh. Even for Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, she was paid â¹40 lakh.
Now, she earns four times what she did for her first film, a remarkable achievement within just six years, especially considering that the industry was largely inactive for two of those years due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Looking ahead, Triptii Dimri is expected to star as Parveen Babi in the biopic of the late actress. Fans are eagerly anticipating this role, as Triptii continues to ascend to even greater heights of stardom.
