Andhra CM Jagan Justifies SSC, Inter Exams

Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy justified his decision to conduct the public examinations for the SSC and Intermediate students in the state.

In the midst of criticism from opposition and demand for cancelation of the examinations, the chief minister said that exams are to be held to enable the students to be eligible for national and other competitive tests.

The chief minister told the officials that the Central government had not taken a policy decision on the public examination and left the decision to the states.

He further said that the Kerala state government had completed the SSC public examination this week. Readmore!

Jagan wanted the students to write exams and get good ranks without depending on the government to pass them with minimum marks due to covid.

“The minimum marks pass will affect the career of the students all through their life,” the chief minister said.  

The chief minister further asked the officials to create awareness among students and parents on the government’s intention to conduct the public exams.

He also told the officials to adhere to the covid guidelines in the seating arrangements for the students.

Stating that the classes for all other students were cancelled, he told the teachers to use as many class rooms as possible for the SSC and inter students to write the exam, strictly observing the physical distance.
