Union Home Minister Amit Shah expressed confidence on Monday that the TD-JS-BJP alliance would win 17 out of the total 25 Lok Sabha seats in Andhra Pradesh and also form the next state government.
In an interview with a media agency, Shah predicted the BJP’s victory in Odisha and Arunachal Pradesh, expressing confidence that the NDA would secure 400 Lok Sabha seats out of a total of 543 in the current elections.
In Andhra Pradesh, the Telugu Desam (TD) contested 17 Lok Sabha seats, while the BJP contested six and the Jana Sena (JS) two seats as part of their alliance.
The state assembly has 175 seats, with the Telugu Desam contesting 144, the JS 21, and the BJP 10 seats.
